This
Morning's Sermon
Live
Like You Were Dying
Listen
Introduction:
David
taught us that we should
number our days
(Psalm 90:10,12).
How would our
lives be different
if we lived with
a sense of our
own mortality?
Let’s look
at a few things
we should consider.
I.
Love Deeper & Speak
Sweeter
A.
(Ephesians 5:22-33).
B. (Ephesians
4:31-32).
C. Angry Words
- “Angry
words, oh
let them never
from the tongue
unbridled
slip. May
the hearts
best impulse
ever check
them ere they soil
the lips.”
II. Give Forgiveness
I Had Been Denying
A. (Matthew
18:21-35).
B. (Matthew
5:23-24).
C. (James
2:13).
III.
Be A Friend A Friend
Would Like To Have
A.
(Proverbs 27:6).
B.
(Proverbs2018:24).
IV. Read the
Bible more often
A.
(2 Timothy
2:15).
B.
(2 Timothy
3:15-17).
C.
(Romans 10:17).
V. Take A Good
Long Hard Look At
What I’d Do
If I Could Do It
All Again
A.
(Revelation 3:3).
B.
(Romans 1:14).
Conclusion
We
should all
live as though
we are dying,
because we are.
If we had
that perspective,
think of how
our lives
would be drastically
changed for
the better.
James tells
us that our
lives are
but a vapor
and that
our time
on earth is very
short. (James
4:13-17)
About Us...
We
are a group of Christians
who use the New
Testament as the pattern
and guide for all
we do. Our goal as
a congregation is to worship,
exalt, and glorify
Jesus Christ,
not ourselves or any other
person or thing. Therefore,
our efforts are
directed toward promoting
commitment to Christ, not
to any man or institution.
Our worship
is simple, consisting
of singing,
praying, sharing
in
the
communion, and
teaching and preaching
from God's word. The
financial support
of the congregation
comes from the
free-will
offerings of
our members.
We
do not ask for
or require any contributions
from our visitors.
Contributions from our
members are used for
the spiritual growth of
this congregation and
for the support of preachers
around the world who
are preaching the gospel.
The funds collected
here are not used
for social programs
or the support
of any human institution.
The
bible teaches that the church
is designed to do only the
work God has given it to
do: teach the gospel, edify
members, and help needy Christians.
All other "good works" are
the responsibility of individual
Christians.
